Northern Son

If you are at Live 105′s BFD Festival at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View this weekend and hear some high harmonies and ringing guitars coming from the local band stage, you’ll be seeing Left Coast Live band Northern Son.

Brothers Tyler (vocals/bass) and Justin Florence (guitar/vocals), Jeff Carmassi (vocals/guitar), Brent Nunn (percussion), and Sean Ghavi (keys/percussion) are Bay Area locals trying to establish themselves in the growing South Bay music scene. The five-piece band blends a mix of influences from rock & roll, folk, and alternative.

Aaron Axelson, music director of San Francisco’s Live 105, has taken quite a liking to the San Jose-based band and speaks highly of their debut album, Wilder Skies. The band’s single “Love Will Find A Way” off their album, is played regularly on Live 105’s Sunday Soundcheck show.
